SHAHAB SALEMY
Shahab Salemy is a Director of
Business Development for this year’s conference. He is a first year MBA student
at the Wharton School majoring in Health Care Management. Prior to Wharton,
Shahab spent three years as Director of Corporate Strategy at McKesson
Corporation. At McKesson, he helped build the specialty pharmaceutical
distribution and informatics businesses, as well as supported the turn around
effort in the Medical Surgical division. Before joining McKesson, Shahab was an
Associate in the Investment Banking division of J.P. Morgan where focused both
on mergers and acquisitions, and bank lending to a variety of healthcare
entities. Shahab graduated from Columbia University in 1997 with a B.A. in
Economics-Political Science.
VIJAY SHREEDHAR
Vijay Shreedhar is the Director
for Business Development for the WHCBC ’04. He is currently a Health Care
Management M.B.A. student at the Wharton School (Class of 2005).. Trained as a
scientist, Vijay worked most recently at Wyeth as a staff researcher in the
vaccine division at Pearl River, NY. He received his bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in biotechnology from the University of Madras, India, and his Ph.D. in
Immunology from the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston,
TX. Vijay completed his postdoctoral studies in Immunology at Harvard Medical
School and is the author of numerous scientific publications
TERENCE YAP, M.D.
Terence Yap is a Director
of the Business Development team. He is a first-year MBA student at Wharton
double-majoring in Health Care Management and Entrepreneurship. He graduated
with an MD from the University of London, and attained an MS with distinction in
Interprofessional Studies. Terence completed his residency in Psychiatry in
London in 1992, during which time he was actively involved in hospital
management. At Wharton, Terence is an Assistant Producer of Follies and
Co-Leader of the Healthcare International Volunteer Project. After the MBA,
Terence would like a position with a strategic consulting firm, or in strategic
planning for a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
