LUCIANO CAMPOS
Luciano Campos is co-Director
of the Pharmaceutical Industry Panel and is an MBA Candidate of the class of
2005 double-majoring in Health Care Management and Finance. He received his B.S.
in Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA)
in Brazil. After graduation he joined Aventis Pasteur in São Paulo, where he
worked as a Strategic Planning Consultant and Product Manager for an influenza
vaccine, which accounted for more the 50% of the company’s turnover. In 2000 he
joined Novo Nordisk as manager of the diabetes product line, which represented
up to 65% of the companies sales in Brazil. In the end of 2002, he became
Project Manager for Business Development in the Novo Nordisk Latin American
Office, where he instituted sales improvements projects in Argentina and
negotiated in-license agreements in Brazil. At Wharton, he is member of the
Health Care, Consulting and Private Equity Clubs.
CRISTINA GUTIERREZ
Cristina Gutierrez is a
Co-Chair of the Pharmaceutical Panel. She is a first year student in Wharton’s
Health Care Management program. After graduating from Haverford College,
Cristina joined Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals (now Pfizer) as a sales
representative in New Jersey and later in Philadelphia at the University of
Pennsylvania. While at Parke-Davis, she was part of the sales team that launched
the blockbuster drugs Lipitor and Celexa. In 2000, she moved to San Francisco,
CA to accept a position as a Brand and Promotions Manager at an online health
company called MDvista. At MDvista, she spearheaded the remote monitoring
initiatives in the cardiac and diabetic areas. Prior to coming to Wharton, she
worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a sales representative for the San Francisco
territory. There, she finished nationally in the top 5% of the salesforce for
2002 and was awarded Wyeth’s Presidential Leadership Award. Currently at
Wharton, Cristina is a member of the Wharton Alumni Speaker Committee and serves
as admissions volunteer. She uses her recreational time to play ice hockey for
the Wharton Wildmen and tennis.

CINDY SCHWARTZ
Cindy Schwartz is Co-Chair of
the Pharmaceutical Panel. She graduated in 1998 magna cum laude from Tufts
University with a BA in Sociology and a concentration in Community Health.
Following graduation, Cindy joined “The Pink Sheet” as a reporter covering
business, regulatory and political news affecting the pharmaceutical industry,
and became Assistant Managing Editor of the publication in 2000. At Wharton,
Cindy is a member of the Marketing Club, the Penn Biotechnology Group and a
liaison to the Ethics Committee.
