Ajay Gupta is a Partner in McKinsey and Company's Chicago Office where he co-leads the Midwest Healthcare Practice and the Medical Device sub-sector across North America. He has 13 years experience working extensively with healthcare and technology companies ranging in size from $300 million to $10+ billion in revenues, on issues of strategy, operations, and organization. He has helped many medical device companies in various aspects of commercializing innovation, and also led McKinsey research efforts in areas such as new product and therapy adoption, functional excellence in sales force management and pricing, and management processes to drive growth.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. Gupta had 5 years operating experience with Schlumberger Wireline. He holds an MBA from Stanford University where he was an Arjay Miller scholar and a Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he was the President's Gold Medalist.
