David W. Maris is a Managing Director and a Senior Research Analyst in the Equity Research Department at Banc of America Securities LLC, where he covers the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector.
Mr. Maris has been named to the "Institutional Investor All-America Research Team" for the past five years, ranking number one in his sector in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. In addition, in 2003, he received special recognition from Institutional Investor as "Who's Best on the Street" for his earnings estimates and stock selections. He was honored again in 2004 as "Who's the Best on the Street" for his earnings estimates, industry knowledge and stock selections. Institutional Investor and The Wall Street Journal also have recognized Mr. Maris as a number-one stock-picker.
Before joining Banc of America in 2003, Mr. Maris was a research analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he covered the Specialty Pharmaceutical segment. Prior to that, he held positions with Bear, Stearns & Co. and Aros Securities.
Mr. Maris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University.
