Halle Tecco is a Founder & Managing Director of Rock Health, the first seed fund devoted exclusively to digital health companies. She is also an angel investor with Techammer, which has made over 40 investments in technology companies including Misfit Wearables, Quora, and Kaggle.

Tecco has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and CNBC. She was named on the Forbes 30 under 30 list as well as Goldman Sach’s Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Nick Leschly has served as president and chief executive officer since September 2010. Previously, he served as interim chief executive officer from March 2010 to September 2010. Formerly a partner of Third Rock Ventures, L.P. since its founding in 2007, Mr. Leschly played an integral role in the overall formation, development and business strategy of several of Third Rock's portfolio companies, including Agios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Edimer Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to joining Third Rock, he worked at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., leading several early-stage drug development programs and served as the product and alliance leader for VELCADE. Mr. Leschly also founded and served as chief executive officer of MedXtend Corporation. He received his B.S. in molecular biology from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Wharton Business School. He currently serves as a member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization board.

I. Steven Udvarhelyi is executive vice president of health services and chief strategy officer for Independence Blue Cross (Independence). As executive vice president of health services, Dr. Udvarhelyi has responsibility for medical management, pharmacy management, quality management, provider contracting and provider relations, and informatics, which comprises analytic and reporting support for all functional areas of the company. As chief strategy officer, Dr. Udvarhelyi oversees the Office of Strategy and Planning and Corporate Development and Innovation. In the strategy role, he is responsible for working with the company’s CEO and senior leadership team to develop enterprise-wide and functional strategies that help Independence achieve its vision and mission.

Dr. Udvarhelyi, a board certified internist, has more than 20 years of experience in the managed care industry. Prior to his career in the managed care and insurance industry, Dr. Udvarhelyi was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and has published numerous articles on quality in health care.

Dr. Udvarhelyi currently serves on a number of boards: the board of directors of NaviNet, which he also chairs, the national board of trustees for the Devereux Foundation, the board of directors of the Franklin Institute, the board of managers for Tandigm Health, and the board of managers for Blue Health Intelligence. He is a past member of the board of directors of NCQA, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Roundtable on Evidence-Based Medicine and the IOM Committee on Comparative Effectiveness Research Priorities, as well as other IOM Committees.

Dr. Udvarhelyi received an A.B. degree from Harvard College, an M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a master’s degree in health services administration from the Harvard School of Public Health.

John has more than 30 years of experience in management consulting focused on strategic, operational and transformational issues across the payor, provider and life sciences sectors. John’s experience includes strategic planning, merger and integration, start-ups, product development, clinical and network strategy, information management, and core administration.

Representative Engagements include:

  • Strategic planning and Innovation - Assisting national and regional health plans, providers, life science companies, suppliers and new entrants identify and respond to health care reform and the fundamental implications the Healthcare industry.

Emad Rizk, M.D.

Emad Rizk, M.D., joined Accretive Health in July 2014 as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. To that role, he brings more than 25 years of experience working with payers, hospital systems, government, physicians and pharmaceutical companies. He previously served as president of McKesson Health Solutions, a business unit of McKesson Corporation that delivers industry-leading clinical evidence and expert technology to help payers and providers collaborate for better healthcare outcomes at lower costs. Under Dr. Rizk’s leadership, McKesson Health Solutions became one of the significant leaders in the healthcare industry. Before joining McKesson in 2003, Dr. Rizk served as senior partner and global director, medical management/pharmacy for Deloitte Consulting. While at Deloitte Consulting, he led the Company’s medical cost and quality management practice across all practices. Prior to that, he was a member of the Monsanto Corporation serving as the Associate Medical Director and then Worldwide Medical Director. Dr. Rizk was a member of the board of DMAA: Care Continuum Alliance, and is currently a board member of National Association for Hispanic Health, Manage Care Editorial, and Accretive Health, Inc. He also holds advisory roles with UM Advisory Council, University of North Texas. He has previously served on the National Clinical Advisory Board and National Quality Review Board.

A Senior Scholar professor at Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Rizk’s work has been widely published in medical journals and medical books. His book, The New Era of Healthcare: Practical Strategies for Providers and Payers, focuses on ways that providers and payers can work together to reduce costs while improving efficiency and patient care. In 2013, Modern Physician named Dr. Rizk one of the “50 Most Influential Physician Executives in the United States,” the fifth time he has been recognized by this publication. Modern Healthcare has listed him among the “Top 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare” while Managed Healthcare Executive named him to its “Top 25 Leaders in Disease Management.” He is a lecturer at Wharton, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, and the Kellogg School of Management.
