David Brailer has been at the forefront of digital health since its earliest days, driven by a belief that data and innovation—not regulation—will shape a more efficient, consumer-driven healthcare system. A Wharton PhD and longtime faculty member in the MBA program, David launched the School’s first Health IT curriculum and mentored a generation of healthcare leaders. He founded CareScience based on his Wharton research, guiding it from startup to IPO to sale, and later served as the nation’s first “Health IT Czar” under President George W. Bush. Today, David is a leading investor in data-driven and AI-powered healthcare companies, with a portfolio spanning dozens of ventures that redefine how care is delivered and experienced.
