Anuja Dokras, MD, MHCI, PhD is the Executive Director of the Women's Health Center for Clinical Innovation (WHCCI) and the Founder’s Professor of Women’s Health in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at the University of Pennsylvania. WHCCI fosters a cross-disciplinary culture of innovation to advance, high-value patient-centered care across a woman’s lifespan. Dr. Dokras oversees a portfolio of federally, payer- and industry-funded programs focused on transforming women’s health care delivery through digital health, innovative care model designs and artificial intelligence, with multiple initiatives successfully scaled and published.
Dr. Dokras also serves as Director of the Penn Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Center, a multi-disciplinary center providing comprehensive care across the lifespan. Her research spans translational science and clinical trials, with a focus on cardiometabolic risk and mental health co-morbidities in PCOS. An internationally recognized NIH-funded investigator, Dr. Dokras is also a global patient advocate and educator. She is the former President and current Executive Director of the international Androgen Excess-PCOS society.
Dr. Dokras completed her clinical training at Yale New Haven Hospital, earned a Master’s in Healthcare Innovation from the University of Pennsylvania, and received her PhD from the University of Oxford.
